Where Your Experience Begins
Your experience begins with a conversation. We’ll talk about what brought you here, what you’re envisioning, and what you want this experience to become. I’ll answer your questions, walk you through the collections, and help you choose what best fits your vision. You don’t need to have it all figured out yet. This is simply where we meet, dream a little, and begin creating something entirely your own.
Where Your Ideas Start Taking Shape
Once you’re officially booked, we start dreaming up your session. We’ll explore the imagery you’re drawn to, wardrobe, mood, sets, styling, and any ideas you’ve been saving for someday. Come with a fully formed concept or nothing more than a feeling. Together, we’ll take everything that feels like you and begin turning it into a session designed around you.
Everything Before You Arrive
You won’t book your session and then be left wondering what comes next. In the weeks leading up to your day, I’ll guide you through preparing, planning your wardrobe, refining our ideas, and anything else you need to feel ready. You’ll also have time to keep dreaming, add creative elements, and watch your session become more and more yours as the day gets closer.
Your Session Begins Before the Camera Does
When you arrive at the studio, there’s no rushing straight in front of the camera. Your day begins with professional hair and makeup while you settle in. Then we’ll go through wardrobe together, try on pieces, style complete looks, and make our final selections. By the time we start photographing, every detail has already been considered and all you have to do is step onto set.
Where Everything Comes Together
This is where everything we’ve planned becomes real. I’ll guide you through posing, expression, movement, hands, body placement, and every little detail in between. You never need to wonder what to do next or whether you’re doing it right. We’ll move through your looks and concepts together, creating photographs that feel intentional, sensual, unexpected, and unmistakably yours.
You Won’t Have to Wait Long
The experience doesn’t disappear when you leave the studio. Within approximately 48 hours, your first sneak peeks arrive, giving you a glimpse of what we created together. Your complete preview gallery follows approximately one week later, when you’ll finally get to see the full story of your session and begin deciding how you want those photographs to live beyond your screen.
Your Photographs Become Something You Can Hold
Once your gallery is ready, you’ll receive everything you need to design your finished collection from the comfort of home. Explore album materials, artwork, layouts, and additional options at your own pace without a same day sales appointment or pressure to make decisions on the spot. You’ll have time to choose what you genuinely love and create something that feels as personal as the session itself.
Created, Finished + Made Yours
Once your selections are complete, I take care of everything else. Your photographs are professionally finished, your artwork is designed, and your order is carefully prepared for production. Depending on what you’ve selected, your finished pieces generally arrive within approximately one to three weeks. What began as an idea is now something tangible, personal, and entirely yours to keep.

Based in Nicollet, Minnesota, Onyx & Sage Studios is a private boudoir photography studio serving clients throughout Minnesota, including Mankato, Rochester, Minneapolis, Saint Paul, and the greater Twin Cities area. Clients regularly travel in for a fully guided boudoir experience designed around intentional direction, environment, and presence. Sessions take place in a private, in-home studio, with exact location details shared after booking to maintain the integrity and privacy of the space.
